How to read the Hangang Bus routes, transfer, fares and autumn sunset timetable. The Nodeul Island Bitseom Festival ended on 11 October; its event shuttle is not presented as a current transport option.
How it works: two lines, one transfer, one fare
Think of it as two bus lines that meet at Yeouido. The west line runs Yeouido–Mangwon–Magok (26 and 21 minutes between piers); the east line runs Yeouido–Apgujeong–Oksu–Seoul Forest–Ttukseom–Jamsil (29, 9, 15, 14 and 15 minutes). To cross from one side to the other you change at Yeouido. The official timetable in force since 15 August 2026 gives 40 sailings a day between 11:00 and 21:39, the same on weekends and public holidays, check the day’s notices for changes. The fare is 3,000 won for adults, 1,800 for youths and 1,100 for children, paid at the kiosk on the pier by transit card or bank card — no cash, no app, no advance booking, and a ticket is valid only at the pier where you bought it, on the day. Tap a T-money card and the ride counts towards the city's transfer discount with subway and bus. Climate Card rules differ by product. The operator FAQ says existing prepaid 30-day charges were usable through 29 September, not from 30 September, while short-term passes remain usable. Postpaid cards may function as ordinary postpaid transit cards within their service scope. Check your exact card type and current coverage rather than treating all Climate Cards as identical. FAQ · 2026-10-12 Piers are not at subway exits: the closest pairings are Oksu pier from Oksu Station (320 m), Ttukseom pier from Jayang Station (190 m) and Yeouido pier from Yeouinaru Station on Line 5 (230 m); Jamsil pier is 770 m from Jamsil-saenae, Magok 720 m from Yangcheon Hyanggyo, and Mangwon a 1.6-kilometre walk. Sailings are suspended when the river is high or an event takes over a pier — it happened in July for water levels, on 3–5 September for the fireworks festival, and on 21–23 September for pier maintenance at Seoul Forest — so read the notice board on the official site the morning you go.
Some direct services skip Apgujeong and Oksu. A blank cell is not a stop: choose a sailing with a time in your destination’s column. For example, the 17:30 from Jamsil calls at Oksu at 18:22 but skips Apgujeong. Times are departures from each pier, except the terminal arrival columns. For a transfer at Yeouido, also check the next boat’s departure.
The sunset run: which boat, which direction, which week
For sunset, compare your visit date’s sunset with the official timetable. The same departure can run after dark later in autumn. Allow separately for walking to the terminal, ticketing, waiting and returning to your accommodation after disembarking. Hangang Bus does not stop at Nodeul Island or include a connection to the ended Bitseom festival shuttle.

Check before you pay
Questions for planning this visit, not allegations against any business.
- Check the facilities, date, age band, re-entry and separately sold experiences or priority access. Before paying, verify whether a QR needs exchanging, the collection deadline and identification requirements.
- Check how operator or weather cancellations differ from cancellation by you. A cancelled activity does not automatically refund separately booked trains or hotels. Keep a changeable return option.
