Start with one experience you actually want to attend. The 2026 autumn K-Royal Culture Festival runs October 7–11 at Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung and Jongmyo Shrine. We recommend choosing an English tour, a hanbok evening or a daytime reenactment before building a route across several palaces. All times below are Korea Standard Time (KST).

Before booking: availability and deadlines

On 4 October, Creatrip’s English morning-tour page displayed SOLD OUT. The Hanbok Royal Banquet page displayed a Reserve button, but this does not confirm places for your date or party size. Recheck the calendar before arranging hanbok rental or travel.

These deadlines are calculated from the organiser’s rule: 23:59 two days before the event. They do not guarantee available places. With no reservation, choose ordinary palace sightseeing subject to its own opening and admission rules; a regular palace ticket does not admit you to these reserved events.

How international visitors book

The organizer links international visitors to Creatrip for the English morning tour and Hanbok Royal Banquet. Check that the product is for fall 2026, then check the date, group size, language and participant eligibility. The morning tour has foreigner eligibility conditions involving nationality or residency; using an English booking page does not itself qualify you. Check the final amount, cancellation rules and availability in the booking calendar. This guide does not promise remaining places.

1. Select the exact date and session: the English morning tour starts at 08:00.
2. The organizer’s foreigner notices give a deadline of 23:59 KST two days before the event for both the morning tour and Hanbok Royal Banquet. Places may sell out earlier.
3. Save confirmation and arrange a ticket for each participant. The published limits are two tickets per booker for the morning tour and four for the banquet.
4. Check in at least ten minutes before the morning tour; banquet check-in is 18:30–19:00. Use your confirmation for the precise meeting location.

General domestic reservations use Ticketlink. The organizer’s domestic booking notice lists 10,000 KRW for the morning program and 1,000 KRW for the Moonlight Lotus Show. These figures are not a verified final price for every foreigner product, nor a universal pass covering palace admission. Hanbok Royal Banquet: free, with two entry conditions

A normal palace night ticket is not the entry arrangement for this event. You need both the event reservation and hanbok; a reservation alone does not secure entry if you arrive in ordinary clothes. There is no walk-up registration or hanbok rental/sales at the venue. Arrive dressed. If renting elsewhere, ask about the return deadline, overtime charges and luggage storage before committing, because the event ends at 21:00. The usual hanbok free-admission rule does not replace the event reservation.

A realistic day, suggested by MEETORY

Our suggested structure is one morning tour or daytime performance, a break, then one evening program. On October 9–10, build a Changgyeonggung visit around the 12:00 or 15:30 Time Travel session and leave space for food and rest. Choose either Gyeongbokgung’s banquet or Changgyeonggung’s Moonlight Lotus Show at night: their time slots overlap, so do not assume you can attend both. On October 7–8 or 11, the banquet and Time Travel are not scheduled; do not copy the same itinerary onto those dates.

Sold out, rain or children in your group?

If you miss a reservation, make ordinary palace sightseeing your base plan instead of leaving the whole day dependent on an unconfirmed cancellation. Ordinary admission does not grant access to reserved events. Before visiting Time Travel, check the performance access instructions and normal palace admission conditions too. For rain, follow the specific program notice and booking messages; do not assume an outdoor event automatically moves indoors.

The banquet accepts participants born in 2019 or earlier; those born in 2008–2019 must enter with a guardian and each needs a ticket. The English morning-tour notice says children under 12 need a guardian and their own ticket. Ask that program’s operator about step-free routes, strollers or wheelchairs, and suitability for a two-hour walk. These are program-specific conditions, not identical rules for every palace.

Creatrip’s English morning-tour conditions include Changdeokgung admission but no re-entry. They explicitly exclude wheelchair users from this tour because of unpaved Secret Garden paths; if you need a wheelchair, plan an accessible ordinary palace visit separately. Customer cancellations receive a full refund at least three days before the event; cancellations two days before or later are non-refundable. The booking deadline and free-cancellation deadline are different.

Save these details before leaving

Save the booking confirmation, any required identity documents, the exact palace name and the meeting point. Changdeokgung (창덕궁) and Changgyeonggung (창경궁) are different palaces. A map search helps locate the palace but does not identify your event’s check-in desk.
