Haeundae Beach Guide 2026: Beach Train & Sky Capsule, Things to Do, Best Time to Visit
Separate beach walking from seasonal swimming, and a Sky Capsule booking from a Beach Train ticket. Choose one coastal outing, then check its return route before adding another stop across Busan.
Blueline: choose a capsule or a train
The Sky Capsule runs Mipo–Cheongsapo in about 30 minutes one way: KRW 50,000 for two people, 55,000 for three or 60,000 for four, per vehicle. It does not reach Songjeong. Beach Train prices are per person: one ride from Mipo/Songjeong 10,000; from Cheongsapo/intermediate stops 8,000; two rides 14,000; all-stops pass 16,000. The all-stops pass does not allow boarding twice at the same station, and you must get off at the Mipo and Songjeong termini. It is not unlimited round-trip travel.

- Dalmaji-gil — the "moon-viewing road" over the headland: cherry-tree lanes, galleries and hillside cafés.
- Dongbaekseom — the camellia island walk at the west end, past the APEC house and a lighthouse, with the full skyline view back at the beach.
- BUSAN X the SKY — observation deck near the top of the 100-floor LCT tower, straight above the sand.
- Haeundae Traditional Market — one block inland: sizzling snack alley by day, lively pojangmacha energy at night.
Choosing a meal
Meal candidates are Sangcookine (상국이네), Seonchang Hoetjip (선창횟집) and Solnaeum (솔내음). Confirm current opening, menu, prices and reservations with each business before choosing. We have not verified same-day auction sourcing or waiting times.

| Blueline | Mipo station is on the eastern side of the beach. Save the booked Blue Line Park Mipo station rather than just “Haeundae”. Walking time depends on whether you start at a hotel, subway station or beach access. |

Booking, operating hours and return
Booking opens Tuesdays at 07:00 KST for the Monday–Sunday week four weeks ahead. On-site tickets are limited and some overseas cards may not work. Check the boarding QR in your email or KakaoTalk; arrive at the train platform ten minutes early. Published October hours are 09:00–19:30 for the train and 08:30–18:30 for capsules; November–February closing times are 19:00 and 18:00 respectively. Check station-specific departures and disruptions in the booking system. Budget capsules per vehicle and trains per person, with a separate return plan.

- For a view seat, confirm window, direction, indoor/outdoor location and time limit. Ask about seat charges, minimum orders and whether deposits offset the bill. A promotional photo does not confirm your seat’s view.
- If staying overnight, save the total including taxes and extra guests, latest check-in, no-show rules and cancellation deadline. If delayed, send your arrival time and obtain written confirmation that the room will be held. Sending a message is not acceptance.

Quick answers
When was the 2026 swimming season?
The district announced 26 June–15 September 2026. Outside that season, beach access does not imply swimming permission or lifeguard coverage; follow the current signs and weather restrictions.
Is the Gwangalli drone show at Haeundae?
No. Gwangalli is a separate beach and journey. Check the Gwangalli programme and allow door-to-door travel time rather than waiting on Haeundae for that show.
How much are capsules and trains?
