Visiting after the festival
For a visit to Busan Cinema Center, check the facility’s current screenings and opening arrangements rather than using a festival screening code. Festival-only entrances and ticket booths may no longer operate. Wait for a new organiser announcement for the next edition; do not extrapolate its dates, sale dates or prices from 2026.
Our editorial suggestion: choose one Centum City visit, then either Haeundae or Gwangalli for a seaside walk. If watching a film, work back from its finish time to plan the trip to your accommodation. Do not reuse the festival-era schedule as a current itinerary.

2026 archive: release dates and booking process
The following preserves the September 17 and 21 release dates and the ticket, account, payment, cancellation and venue rules used for the completed 2026 edition. It is not a live availability guide and does not establish the next edition’s conditions.
- Official screening schedule: check the date, venue and subtitle code, and note the screening code. Do not assume English subtitles or an English-interpreted GV unless the listing says so.
- BIFF official ticket booking: check remaining seats for that screening. If it is sold out, consider another screening of the same film or a different film. Fix transport and accommodation around the ticket you actually hold.

How much should you budget for tickets?
| Ticket category | Standard price |
|---|---|
| General screenings / Cine Class | KRW 10,000 |
| Actors’ House / Master Class | KRW 15,000 |
| Midnight Passion | KRW 20,000 |
| Opening / closing ceremony | KRW 30,000 |
These are the categories and standard prices explicitly listed in BIFF’s booking guide. Check the selected program for any category not listed here. MEETORY’s simple example: two general screenings cost KRW 20,000 per person for tickets alone; meals, transport and accommodation are additional.
How to prepare your account and payment
- Start from BIFF’s official website and its ticket-booking link. Register with an email address you can access and complete email verification. BIFF requires a new registration even if you registered last year; its guide specifies an email login and a six-digit numeric password.
- Use one device and one browser session. BIFF recommends Chrome and restricts simultaneous sessions across devices, browsers and tabs. If a queue appears, follow the queue instructions instead of opening extra sessions.
- Search by screening code or date, choose seats and the correct price category, then pay. The limit is two tickets per screening code; booking another code requires entering the queue again.
- The published online payment methods are credit and debit cards. This does not confirm acceptance of every overseas-issued card. This guide has not tested a payment transaction. If your card is rejected, use the official help channel and check your booking status before trying again.
Can you watch without speaking Korean?
Check the subtitle legend and the individual screening before booking. A foreign-language film is not automatically suitable for an English-speaking audience. These two codes help you screen your options:
| Code | Official legend and what to check |
|---|---|
| KE | Korean subtitles plus English subtitles or English dialogue. Check whether you will be reading English or listening to it. |
| KN | Korean subtitles with non-English dialogue and no English. Avoid this option if you need English support. |
A GV is a guest visit or audience discussion. English subtitles for the film do not guarantee English interpretation for the GV. BIFF specifically warns that some discussions have no English interpretation and that GV schedules can change. Do not assume Japanese, Chinese or another subtitle language is available unless the screening says so.
Find the screening room, not just the festival name
For Busan Cinema Center (영화의전당), Visit Busan directs visitors to Centum City Station (센텀시티역), Metro Line 2, Exit 6, followed by a walk. Use the exact venue name on your ticket for navigation. Several main venues are in Centum City, but they are separate buildings and floors.
Visit Busan: Cinema Center access
| Venue | Address and entrance detail |
|---|---|
| Busan Cinema Center · 영화의전당 | 120 Suyeonggangbyeon-daero, Haeundae-gu. Check the ticket for the specific theater within the complex. |
| CGV Centum City · CGV 센텀시티 | 35 Centum nam-daero, 7F. Before the department store opens, BIFF directs pedestrians to Gate 3 / Hall Elevator 3 near station Exit 12, or Gate 4 / Hall Elevator 4 toward SpaLand. |
| LOTTE CINEMA Centum City · 롯데시네마 센텀시티 | 59 Centum nam-daero, 8F. Before the department store opens, use the far-left doors of the 1F main entrance by station Exit 8, then the elevators on the left. |
A realistic first festival day
- Before booking: choose one priority screening, verify its language support and venue, and make a backup list. Check transport and accommodation options, then confirm the full trip around the ticket you actually secure.
- On the day: drop bags at your accommodation if storage is available, locate the correct building and have the mobile ticket ready. BIFF generally admits audiences 15 minutes before a screening, subject to conditions on-site; arrive earlier to find the entrance.
- After the film: choose either a discussion and relaxed meal, or a second screening with a comfortable buffer. Put beach sightseeing in a separate block rather than between closely spaced films.
If you plan a seaside walk in a separate block from the films, check access to Haeundae Beach. For a beach visit on another day, Gwangalli Beach is an alternative. Do not squeeze either into a short gap between screenings; choose by your ticket’s venue and finishing time.
Sold out, changed plans or accessibility needs?
For standard tickets, on-site sales depend on seats left unsold online or released by cancellations. Do not travel to a ticket box expecting a guaranteed reserve of sold-out tickets. BIFF also has a separate service for eligible digitally excluded audiences; it is not a general tourist standby allocation.
Ticket booking and prices · 2026 booking announcement
Cancellation is possible until 60 minutes before the screening, with fees depending on when you cancel. If you have printed a paper ticket, BIFF requires it to be returned at a ticket box for cancellation. Read the current fee table before paying for overlapping options.
Wheelchair seats cannot be booked through the standard online process: BIFF lists advance-registration priority and on-site sale of remaining wheelchair seats. Contact BIFF before arranging the trip. Children under four cannot enter screenings even with a guardian; other age restrictions must be checked for the chosen film.

BIFF information desks do not store luggage. Arrange storage separately and reconfirm screening and GV notices on the day, particularly for outdoor programs. For booking or access questions, use the official FAQ or cs@biff.kr.

Check before you pay
Questions for planning this visit, not allegations against any business.
- Check the facilities, date, age band, re-entry and separately sold experiences or priority access. Before paying, verify whether a QR needs exchanging, the collection deadline and identification requirements.
- Match the seller, venue address, date, party size, cancellation deadline and time zone on the confirmation. Save change/cancellation refund conditions and who handles them; an application receipt is not a confirmed booking.

Quick answers
Can I still book BIFF 2026 tickets?
No: the October 6–15, 2026 festival period has ended. The sale dates, prices and booking steps here are historical records. Check a new official announcement for the next edition’s terms.
Will my foreign-issued card work?
2026 archive: BIFF lists credit and debit cards for online payment, but the checked guide does not establish support for every overseas issuer. We have not completed a payment test. Use BIFF’s official assistance if your card is declined.
Does an English-subtitled film include an English-interpreted GV?
2026 archive: Not necessarily. Subtitle information applies to the film. BIFF says some guest discussions may not have English interpretation, so check the specific event separately.
Can I enter using a screenshot of my ticket?
2026 archive: No. BIFF requires the actual mobile ticket or an issued paper ticket. Screenshots, booking emails and text confirmations are not accepted for entry.
